3
of the Supercross Season in Los Angeles By Lindsey Owens
January 21, 2012 – Los
Angeles, CA: The Legends & Heroes Mobile
Motocross Museum arrived Friday afternoon at
Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles, CA.
Saturday morning did start out rainy and wet,
but by noon, the pit party and Moto 2 was ready
to entertain the many fans on race day.
Men, women, and children of all ages thoroughly
enjoyed the vintage motocross machines and the
memorabilia on display.
Our Legend, Gary Jones, arrived and began the
autograph session at 3 pm. Gary was also joined
by his brother, Dwayne Jones. Another Legend,
Gary Bailey, stopped by and signed his picture
on the side of the Legends and Heroes Mobile
Motocross Museum. As the day went on, and many
enthusiasts of motocross walked through the
museum, Preston Petty made an appearance and he
signed the Wall of Fame inside Moto 2. Also,
another Legend, Gunnar Lindstrom, stopped by and
enjoyed the tour’s display. Later on in the
evening, we awarded Gary Jones on the Monster
Energy Supercross stage. On stage was a 1974 YZ
250 A. This was a motorcycle that the Jones
family was extremely instrumental in developing.
Round 3 at Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles,
California was another great success. Moto 2
will be on its way to Round 4 in Oakland,
California.
We would like to thank all of our sponsors that
support the Legends and Heroes Tour; JT Racing,
Bel Ray Lubricants, Boysen, Motion Pro, Gary
Bailey Motocross School and SLS Audio.
